Universal Order

The other... Week, my dear father brought up the subject of the order of the universe. He made a very intriguing point. It went something like this.

Most everybody knows that Earth, as well as all other heavenly bodies, has a gravitational pull, and caught in that gravitational pull is a rather interesting object I like to refer to as the Moon. Now this moon as it turns out, is a very important object in keeping life on Earth the way it is. One of the moons many very important jobs is to stabilize the rotation and position of the Earth, correct? Well, here is the proposal, That every single heavenly body is essential in holding the universe together. That not only planets and stars have gravitational pull but also galaxies. So if the moon is essential in stabilizing the Earth, shouldn't it be true for different galaxies as well?

The universe, as we now know, is actually put together in a very interesting way that I can only liken to a spiders web. The galaxies and galaxy clusters forming lines or strings of galaxy formations that come together and intersect in seemingly random places. But in actuality, all being perfectly placed so as to maintain order in the universe. Do you follow me?? If one of those galaxy "strands" were to be placed in a different location the universe would slowly begin to break down until nothing was in the right place and life on Earth would soon begin to vanish.

Sound far fetched? Not to me. When the bible says that God holds everything together I think that that is precisely what it means.
